Hello, I tried the game and I like the general idea. Since you say that it's almost unplayable early version,  there is probably no point for some deep thoughts, as you probably know very well about a lot of problems and have a lot of ideas about things you want to implement. So I will just point out some small issues, that can be quite easily fixed:

  • Typo in country name: Meckelburg instead of Mecklenburg
  • Typo in date: Mars instead of March
  • Typo in French ruler name: Louie instead of Louis
  • Scrolling in battle works opposite way than scrolling in world map. The way it is in battle (scrolling towards yourself gets the camera farther) feels more natural.
  • Panning speed of world map is too fast.

I'm looking forward to future updates.

Thanks, most information are quickly put together from memory so they are many typos. I’m really grateful for feedback and I’m glad you like the idea:)

there's a weird glitch where it'll frequently show a brown screen ingame, this is the same brown that is outside the bounds of the map so I assume the camera is either rubberbanding outside the map or the map is not exactly sure whether to exist or not.

Hi, iv'e just reuploaded it with a few bugs(including this) removed.

uhm.

I haven’t encountered that, could you tell me what you did before this screen?

nothing, I guess zoomed out and moved the camera? (note, I can't zoom out all that much)

Weird, tried to emulate the effect but nothing happened. Also the limited out zooming is temporary do to optimisation:)

Can't exactly verify a lot of the game (since I couldn't move any units and thus begin any battles), but it does seem promising, I'd recommend focusing on a little optimization since even the overworld is lagging (also motion blur), but generally excited for where this goes!

Best of luck, cheers!

Thanks for the feedback! I am currently working on fixing the units and try to make the rts part work:)
